Hilltop Market Burglary Suspect Sought By Stratford Police
The Huntington Road market was burglarized on Friday, and the suspect evaded officers, according to authorities.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford police are asking for the public's help in finding a burglary suspect who evaded officers on Friday, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
The incident occurred at the Hilltop Market on Huntington Road, when officers were called to the store on a report of suspicious activity.
"Responding units discovered the front window to the store had been smashed out, with items taken from within," authorities wrote in a statement. "Surveillance footage from a location nearby captured the [Facebook image] of the suspect running from the scene."

Officers spotted a white Audi A4 with minor front end damage in the area, but when they tried to stop it, the operator fled at a high rate of speed northbound on Huntington Road, according to police.
"The operator of the vehicle matched the description of the suspect."

What items were stolen, and their values, were not disclosed. Additional information about the suspect and his vehicle also were not disclosed, though the Facebook post shows both.
