Because he can.
She noticed him
On a Tuesday at the gym
When she was reading and
Stepping. She
Noticed, mostly,
Because besides
The baseline anxiety
Which, day-to-day,
Coats her heart,
She got a
Feeling.
A thump-thump-
Thump
Which could
Not be attributed to
Any known biological
Stressor
Which she could identify.
