Kayaker And Dog Get Stuck In Stratford Marsh: Firefighters
Stratford firefighters waded into the marsh to aid the stuck man and his dog.

STRATFORD, CT — First responders recently waded through a Stratford marsh to aid a stuck kayaker.
After receiving a report that the kayaker was trapped in the marsh near Bond’s Dock on the Housatonic River, five firefighters entered the marsh on foot several hundred yards from the man and his dog, Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998 said in a Facebook post about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
After emergency personnel made contact with the kayaker, the man decided to remain in place until the tide came back in, according to the post. The Milford Fire Department provided additional resources and firefighters took extra care to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
