Letter To The Editor: Marcone Deserves Another Term As Registrar
Marie Brown explains why Rick Marcone has her support in Tuesday's primary election for Democratic registrar of voters.
To the editor,
Stratford has a primary for the Democratic registrar of voters Aug. 11 and it is very important that everyone come vote.
Rick Marcone has served the last 12 years as our registrar with honesty and integrity. He is the only one who voted against the redistricting plan that was implemented.

I have known Rick for many years and you will always find him doing some sort of community work. He is a Eucharistic minister in his church, cofounder of "Parents for High School Lacrosse," recipient of South End Community Committee Service Award, volunteer at Sterling House, recipient of the Walter Wright Community Spirit Award, etc.
Rick has one term left and then he is of retirement age and the Democratic Town Committee has decided to endorse someone else and deny him this. No one should be subjected to this in any profession.

It is shameful that this man who has dedicated his life to doing what's fair and right has to be treated like this for some unknown political agenda.
Please Democratic residents of Stratford come out and vote, or send in your absentee ballot for Rick and make sure this injustice doesn't happen.
Sincerely,
Marie Brown
