Man Accused Of Sexual Assault In Stratford: Police

The man was arrested on a warrant, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Stratford last month, according to police.

Police received a complaint in June from an “adult female alleging she was sexually assaulted by a known male,” according to Lt. Robert Burroughs.

Burroughs said the woman accused of Roderick C. Ricketts of inappropriately touching her in mid-June.

Ricketts, 44, of Stratford, was arrested July 20 on a warrant following a thorough investigation, according to Burroughs.

Ricketts was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond with a court date of July 31, according to state judicial records.
