The man is accused of firing several shots at a car allegedly in retaliation for the recent shooting of a 16-year-old boy in town.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of firing several shots at a car in what was allegedly retaliation for the recent shooting of a 16-year-old boy in town, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Dashaun Mitchell, 22, was arrested Tuesday after a woman told police that he fired several shots at her car. The woman, who wasn’t injured, had gotten into an argument with Mitchell and two other men because they accused her of being involved in the teen’s shooting, according to the Post.

The 16-year-old boy was shot while playing basketball on the courts on Woodend Road at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 7 and the suspects fled the scene in what appeared to be a silver car, possibly a Honda, according to police. (To sign up for Stratford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
