STRATFORD, CT — Mayor Laura Hoydick's proposed schools spending plan of $126.9 million in Stratford next year has come under fire from parents who say more funding is needed, reported the Connecticut Post.
Overall, Hoydick is proposing a budget of $254.2 million for town operations, which includes the $126.9 million for public schools.
The Board of Education had requested $127.9 million for next year, and parents say that amount is needed to maintain a strong school system.
