One Dead In Light Street Shooting: Stratford Police

STRATFORD, CT —A man is dead after a shooting overnight on Light Street near Barnum Avenue, Stratford Police said.

Police said the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Friday morning. Two people were shot by an unknown person. Police said 30-year-old Tykeem Jones of Bridgeport died at the scene. A female victim "was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for wounds received during the assault," according to a news release.
