State Police Accuse Stratford Restaurant Manager of Running a Gambling Operation

An undercover operation found illegal gambling activity at the restaurant.

The manager of the Windsock Inn on Main Street in Stratford was charged by state police Thursday with allegedly running a gambling operation out of the restaurant, according to the Connecticut Post.

Daniel Tepfer of the Post reports Jennifer Cusick, 41, was arrested after an undercover operation found several illegal gambling machines in the restaurant and evidence that a football pool was operating there.

Cusick, whose parents own the restaurant, denied knowing anything about the alleged gambling activity but acknowledged to police she was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, according to Tepfer.
