Stratford Coronavirus Update: 25 New Cases Confirmed Monday
There was a significant increase Monday in Stratford's total number of confirmed new coronavirus cases.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford saw a significant increase Monday in the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town. While the mayor's office Sunday evening reported a total of 59 confirmed cases in Stratford, as of Monday afternoon the state was reporting there were 84 confirmed cases in town.
Over the weekend, Mayor Laura Hoydick also reported the first death of a Stratford resident who had the virus, a person in their 60s.
Across Connecticut as of Monday, there were 1,231 newly confirmed cases, bringing the state total to 6,906 confirmed cases, 206 of which were associated with the death of a patient and 3,719 of which were in Fairfield County, according to state data.
