State Rep. Phil Young officially won the 120th House District rematch with Jim Feehan after the absentee ballot count finished on Thursday.

STRATFORD, CT — State Rep. Phil Young officially won re-election to the 120th House District in the rematch against Republican Jim Feehan after the absentee ballot count finished on Thursday, according to the Connecticut Post.
Young defeated Feehan two years ago by a mere 13 votes, but he was leading by a wider margin on election night, with 6,454 votes to Feehan's 6,122, according to unofficial results from the secretary of the state. Both candidates said they were waiting until the outstanding absentee ballots were counted Thursday before making any assumptions.
The Post reports Young won by 446 votes after the remaining 1,605 absentee ballots were counted on Thursday. Feehan told the Post he planned to call Young to concede the race.
