Stratford Fire Dept. To Play Brakettes In Charity Softball Game

The game is being played in memory of 15-year-old Gabriella Reitmeyer, daughter of retired Assistant Chief Doug Reitmeyer.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Fire Department softball team will take on the Stratford Brakettes in a charity softball game at 7 p.m. on June 29 at Deluca Field in Stratford.

The game is being played in memory of 15-year-old Gabriella Reitmeyer, daughter of retired Assistant Chief Doug Reitmeyer, according to officials.

“Gabriella fought a long, courageous battle with cancer,” officials wrote in a news release. “Please join us as we honor the memory of Gabriella!”

All proceeds from the charity game will go to LIVFREE to help children in their fight with pediatric cancer.
