Stratford Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charge: Police

The man was arrested on a warrant, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man was recently arrested on a child pornography charge, according to police.

Joel Marquez, 21, was arrested April 19 on a warrant and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography.

Police said Stratford detectives, who are members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, developed information that led to search warrants and arrest warrants for Marquez and various electronics.

Detectives found Marquez had downloaded 117 videos and 22 photos of pubescent and pre-pubescent females, according to police.

Marquez was released after posting a $50,000 bond with a court date of May 2, according to police.
