STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man has been charged in connection with a September shooting, police announced Friday.

Troy Lopes was arrested and charged Thursday with home invasion, first-degree burglary, interfering with an officer and criminal possession of body armor, police said in a news release. Lopes's arrest follows the arrest last month of Calvin Williams, who is also accused of being involved in the shooting, according to police.

The charges against Lopes and Williams are related to an incident the evening of Sept. 3 at an address on Birch Drive, where law enforcement found a female gunshot victim, police said at the time. The victim was taken to a hospital and stabilized.
