Man Charged In Stratford Shooting: Police

Police also said they found Ecstasy, ammunition and a large amount of cash when they arrested Calvin Williams.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is charged in connection with a recent Stratford shooting, according to police.

Law enforcement responded about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 3 to the incident on Birch Drive, Stratford police said in a news release. A female victim was taken to a hospital and stabilized.

Stratford detectives Friday arrested Calvin Williams by warrant in Bridgeport with help from the Bridgeport police emergency service and gang units, according to the news release, which said police found Ecstasy, ammunition and a large amount of cash when they arrested Williams.

Williams, 31, was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, home invasion, first-degree threatening, risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment, carrying a pistol and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, according to police.

Williams was held on a $750,000 bond and is set to appear in court Friday.
