Stratford Man Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison: Report

The local resident stole more than $28,000 worth of goods from a Milford home, according to report.

MILFORD, CT — David Paul, of Stratford, will spend the next six years in prison after burglarizing a Brewster Road home in Milford in 2019, Hearst Connecticut reports.

Paul stole in excess of $28,000 worth of goods from the residence, Hearst CT reports. The victims said during sentencing that they "will never forget the feeling of being violated in our home.”

Paul apologized to the victims and was ordered to make restitution, Hearst reports.(>>>Read the full Hearst CT story here.)

When Milford police announced Paul's arrest in 2019 they said he was caught on the homeowner's security cameras. Paul was charged with third-degree burglary, first-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.

At the time of the burglary, police said he broke into the home by breaking a rear glass door. Once inside, he ransacked a bedroom and placed items in a bag before leaving out the back door, police said at the time.
