Stratford Man Who Stole Assault Rifle Fled From Cops: Police
Police said a man was held on over $750,000 bond after he attempted to flee earlier this week.
STRATFORD, CT — A man accused of stealing an M4 rifle, ballistic vest, and night vision goggles in 2017 was arrested by Milford police on other charges.
Justin Parsell, 31, of Stratford, was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court and interfering with an officer. He was held on $750,500 bond.
Milford police took Parsell into custody Tuesday on an active warrant for failure to appear in court.

He gave officers a fake name and attempted to flee, police said.
In 2017, Parsell was accused of stealing an M4 Rifle, a ballistic vest, and night vision goggles from an unlocked vehicle in Milford, police said.

These items were recovered shortly after they were taken, police said.
At the time he was charged with first-degree larceny, third-degree burglary, theft of a firearm, criminal possession of firearm, possession of assault rifle, five counts of possession of a high-capacity magazine, and possession of a silencer.
His failure to appear in court was related to that arrest, police said.
