Stratford Police Charge Two Men, Woman in Major Drug Bust

Police seized 214.5 grams of heroin and liquid methadone in the bust.

A Monroe woman was arrested along with two Bridgeport men for selling heroin in Stratford and Bridgeport, the Monroe Courier reports.

According to the paper, Jennifer Kelly, 32, of Monroe, Gregorio Perez, 59 and Paul Lee, 40, of Bridgeport were charged after an investigation by Stratford Police that began in September 2014.

Lee and Kelly were arrested Jan. 18 after police served a search warrant at a Bridgeport residence and found more than 214.5 grams of heroin, the paper reports. Perez evaded arrest but was found by Stratford Police at Kelly’s Monroe address after Kelly admitted to hiding him there.

The Connecticut Post reports that liquid methadone was also seized in the drug bust.

Kelly was charged with sale of heroin, for which her bond was set at $50,000. She was additionally charged with hindering prosecution and possession of methadone and given a $200,000 bond for those charges.

Lee and Perez were charged with sale of heroin, sale of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school and conspiracy to sell narcotics, the paper reports. Lee was also charged with sale of narcotics (heroin) and driving with a suspended license. Perez’s bond was set at $500,000 and Lee’s bond was set at $100,000 for the sale of heroin and $50,000 for the other charges.
