Stratford SWAT Team Responds to Success Avenue Home

Possibly armed man refused to respond to police during a welfare check.

A Stratford SWAT team talked a possibly armed man out of a Success Avenue home Wednesday afternoon, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports that police responded to the home on a routine welfare check and they found that a person inside had an active warrant for second-degree robbery and wouldn’t respond or come out for arriving officers.

Out of concern that the suspect might have weapons, police sent in a SWAT team to negotiate his surrender, according to the Post.
