Stratford Woman Among Six Arrested in Prostitution Investigation: State Police

Police arrested five adults and one juvenile on various prostitution-related charges.

MILFORD, CT - Five adults and a juvenile, including a Stratford woman, were arrested after a multi-agency investigation into human trafficking and prostitution, Connecticut State Police announced on Friday.

The Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force (SOCITF) and members of the Connecticut State Police Missing Persons Unit conducted a joint operation with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Milford Police Department targeting human trafficking in the form of underage prostitution. The operation was conducted Feb. 24 and Feb. 25.

  • Jason Prawl, 28, of Bridgeport, Charge: Second-degree promoting prostitution
  • Jerome Edison, 44, of North Las Vegas, Charge: Third-degree promoting prostitution
  • Erica M. Calloway, 19, of North Las Vegas, Charge: Prostitution
  • Destiny McCabe, 18, of Stratford, Charge: Prostitution
  • Sheena Wheeler, 30, of Trumbull, Charge: Prostitution
  • Female juvenile, 16, Charge: Second-degree promoting prostitution

“The coordinated effort is part of a continued effort by federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies targeting those who facilitate or participate in the exploitation of minors in the sex trafficking business. As a result of this investigative effort three suspects were arrested for promoting prostitution, and three additional suspects were arrested for prostitution,” police said in a statement.
