Stratford Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run, Man In Custody: Police
Troy Watley, 28, of Stratford is charged with negligent homicide in connection with 19-year-old Michelle Rodriguez's death, police said.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford woman died in an early-morning hit-and-run, and the man authorities say is responsible for her death faces multiple charges in connection to the crash, according to police.
Authorities said officers were called to St. Michaels Cemetery on Stratford Avenue shortly after midnight Saturday, where they found a woman — identified by police as 19-year-old Michelle Rodriguez — lying in the road. Police said she appeared to be the victim of a hit-and-run crash.
Rodriguez was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where she died, police said.

Investigators later identified 28-year-old Troy Watley of Stratford as the suspect in Rodriguez's death, police said. Watley was taken into custody and charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility, reckless endangerment, and several other counts, authorities said.
Watley is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
