Stratford Woman's 'Untimely Death' Investigated By Westport Police

The woman was found in the backseat of a vehicle in a parking lot in Westport Sunday night.

WESTPORT, CT — A 34-year-old Stratford woman, who was found unresponsive in the backseat of a vehicle Sunday night, was pronounced dead, and Westport police are investigating the discovery as an "untimely death," according to authorities.

The woman's identity was not released, and police said it will not be until an autopsy is completed.

She was found at about 8:40 p.m. in a running vehicle in the parking lot of the Levitt Pavilion. Both police and emergency medical technicians were on-scene after the discovery.

"Lifesaving efforts were attempted, but unfortunately the party was pronounced deceased," said Westport Police Lt. David Wolf.

The woman's body was transported to the Connecticut Medical Examiner's office in Farmington to determine the cause and manner of death.

"The investigation is in the early stages, but no foul play is suspected," Wolf added.
