Student Pulls Knife At Eli Whitney Elementary In Stratford: Reports
School officials immediately confiscated the knife and no one was injured, according to a letter from the principal obtained by CTPost.
STRATFORD, CT — Police rushed to Eli Whitney Elementary School Thursday after a student was accused of pulling a pocketknife on another student during an argument, according to multiple reports.
The school's principal, Robert Veteri, said in a letter to the school community obtained by CTPost.com that a teacher confiscated the knife and no one was injured.
"This letter is to inform you that one of our students brought a knife to whittle sticks to schools that was taken out at dismissal," Veteri wrote, according to the outlet. "The incident was reported to the teacher at dismissal, and the teacher immediately removed the knife from the student’s possession."
