Swimming Areas Closed In Stratford: Officials

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford swimming areas are closed for Wednesday, Sept. 7 through at least Thursday, Sept. 8, according to the Stratford Health Department.

“Although the weekly beach water sampling has ended for the year, we had over 2 inches of rain yesterday,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook. “Due to rainfall exceeding the closure criteria, Stratford swimming areas will be closed Wednesday September 7 through Thursday September 8. Should we have more rain events, the swimming closure may extend longer.”
