Threat Prompts Increased Police Presence At Stratford Schools: PD

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Public Schools will have an increased police presence after a threat was posted on social media, according to officials.

“SPD is aware of the threat that was posted on Snapchat regarding our schools,” police wrote in a post on Facebook on Monday morning. “The SPD Detective Bureau is conducting a thorough investigation and at this time no credible information to believe this threat is legitimate has been discovered.

“As a precaution additional security measures have been taken at all of our schools, expect to see increased police presence.

“As a reminder: ALL threats are taken seriously and will be fully investigated.”
