Wallet With ‘Significant Amount’ Of Money Found At Beach: Stratford PD

Police are trying to find the owner of a lost wallet that was found at the beach and the owner of a stolen bicycle that was recovered.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Police Department is trying to find the owner of a wallet containing a “significant amount” of money that was found at Short Beach over the weekend and turned into the department.

“Additionally, a bicycle was stolen from the Stratford Train Station, the thief was caught,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “The bicycle was recovered and is at the PD, the owner is unknown, and no report of a stolen bike was made to our PD.

“If you believe the wallet or bike belong to you, please contact Evidence Officer Muschett with identifying information for either item via email: RMuschett@townofstratford.com.”
