Water Main Break In Stratford; Discoloration Possible
Affected residents are advised to use stored water for drinking and cooking, and delay clothes washing.
STRATFORD, CT — A water main broke Friday on Auburn Street in Stratford, according to the mayor. The break was expected to effect about 20 customers and be fixed within four hours, Mayor Laura Hoydick said in a Facebook post about 5 p.m. Hoydick suggested residents use stored water for drinking and cooking, and delay clothes washing, as the break could result in discolored water. Affected customers were advised to run cold water until it is clear before resuming typical use.
