Water Outage Scheduled In Stratford

Aquarion has scheduled a water outage that will affect certain areas in Stratford on Friday, July 12, according to officials.

STRATFORD, CT — Officials are advising residents that Aquarion has scheduled an outage that will affect certain areas in Stratford on Friday, July 12.

A scheduled valve replacement will begin at 9 a.m. with an estimated duration of six to eight hours.

The affected areas are Everett Street, Sands Place, South Avenue, Wooster Avenue, and Yarwood Street.

“A scheduled valve replacement will temporarily disrupt water service, affecting approximately 31 customers,” officials wrote in a news release. “During and after the outage, some may experience discolored water. Until the water runs clear, it is recommended to use stored water for drinking, cooking, and delaying laundry. Run your cold water tap until the water appears clear before resuming use. Please prepare accordingly and plan for the outage on Friday, July 12.”
