• Suffield Academy Welcomes 8 New Faculty Members (patch.com) — Suffield Academy is kicking off the new school year by adding eight faculty and staff members, including head-of-school-elect Casey Bobo, who will work alongside current head Charlie Cahn through 2026-27. Several alumni are returning as teachers and coaches, and new hires will oversee everything from finances and campus operations to science, math, and engineering classes, shaping daily life on the Suffield campus.
   

• UConn program had students learn beyond classroom. Where and why (courant.com) — A UConn partnership is reshaping several Connecticut prisons with landscaping projects, and the initiative now includes MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, the region's largest facility. Students and staff are using plantings, murals, and design changes to make correctional spaces healthier and more humane, offering a rare look at how a major Suffield employer and neighbor is evolving.
