Local Brownie Troop Helping Horses in Need

Brownie Troop 10989 is supporting the Second Chance Ranch in East Granby.

Second-graders from the Brownie Troop 10989 are supporting the Second Chance Ranch in East Granby by purchasing mats for the horses' stalls.

The troop, which is based in Suffield, is scheduled to present the mats to the organization on May 20 at 3 p.m.

Since 1996 the ranch, located on Seymour Street, has worked tirelessly to find horses new homes when their current owners either couldn't, or wouldn't care for them.

The ranch's website provides information about the horses currently available for adoption and a list of donated items that would gladly be accepted.
