• Soil, Wetlands Complicate Suffield Middle School Building Plans (patch.com) — Suffield officials are reworking plans for a major Suffield Middle School project after soil issues, wetlands, and vernal pools sharply limited where a new or renovated building can go on the Mountain Road campus. Engineers now favor the western and southern areas of the property, a shift that could add about $500,000 and delay referendum timing as the town refines layouts, costs, and traffic circulation.
