The list, released Sept. 28, compares districts using academics, graduation rates, teacher quality and community reviews, with nearby Granby, East Granby and Windsor also placing in the top 50.

• Fundraiser Helps Family Of Man Missing In Suffield (patch.com) — Suffield neighbors are rallying around the family of missing resident Manoj Bagga, raising more than $18,000 through a GoFundMe to help cover basic expenses. Nearly eight weeks after he vanished near the Route 190 bridge over the Connecticut River, police say the investigation remains active and are asking anyone with information to contact Suffield officers.

• Suffield Academy Students Take Leadership Lessons Outdoors (patch.com) — Suffield Academy students just spent Leadership Day exploring ropes courses, kayaking at Sunrise Park, ziplining in Storrs, and rafting the Deerfield River as part of the school's four-year leadership program. The day introduces themes like teamwork, communication, and service that students will keep building on throughout the school year in Suffield.
