Tourney Update: Enfield, Suffield, Ellington, Tolland, Somers Teams Advance
Field hockey and boys soccer state tournaments got underway Tuesday, with north-central Connecticut teams faring quite well.

The CIAC state field hockey and boys soccer tournaments commenced Tuesday, with north-central Connecticut teams emerging victorious in four contests and a fifth school drawing a first-round bye.
Ellington, Tolland and Somers were all victorious in boys soccer, while top-ranked Suffield advanced to the second round via a bye. Enfield emerged with a shutout win in field hockey action.
