When followers requested a way to purchase her work, she added a gallery on Fine Art America, where custom prints, framed photos, home décor and gifts were available for purchase.

As a Suffield resident, Lord participates in town craft fairs and farmers markets, where she enjoys the support of the Suffield community. Each year, she creates a new “Suffield” calendar, which includes photos taken around town, as well as images from her travels and photos of wild birds seen in town and nearby.
Birds and wildlife photography have become an important part of Lord’s life. Bald eagles are her passion; she has spent countless hours learning about them, observing them and photographing them over the last five years. She volunteers her time to the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection by reporting the progress of area nests, and stepping in with support where needed.
She has also become an advocate for raptor rescue and rehabilitation. With the high number of collisions between cars and birds of prey, there is a need to get information to others interested in helping injured raptors along the roadways. Through her Facebook page, she shares information about raptor rescue, hoping to inspire others to step in when they see an injured bird.
Lord is a member of The Charter Oak Photographic Society, the Simsbury Camera Club, the Connecticut Association of Photographers and the National Audubon Society. Through monthly competitions and judging, she is learning from and being inspired by some of the best photographers in the state of Connecticut. In 2018, she was awarded the Art & Arlene Rich Nature Award and the Jane H. Sibley Photo Travel Award, as well as being named one of Connecticut’s Top Photographers in The Connecticut Association of Photographers’ “TOPS in Connecticut” bi-annual competition.
