"Exploring Hidden Connecticut"

The friends of the Rathbun Memorial Library and the East Haddam Free Public Library proudly present Hartford Courant columnist Peter Marteka

Join us this Friday June 19th at 6:00pm at the East Haddam Grange Hall (488 Town Street) to hear Peter Marteka discuss some of his favorite hiking spots and some of the lesser known open spaces of our great state.

Peter Marteka, a native nutmegger, was born and raised in Portland, CT. A graduate of Muhlenberg College, he began his career at the Courant in January 1996 after five years at The Middletown Press. For the past 17 years, Marteka has been exploring the wilds of Connecticut and has lived to talk – and write - about his adventures in words and photos.

Hikers, bikers, birdwatchers, photographers and all other nature lovers -- you don’t want to miss this!

Light refreshments will be served. A $5.00 donation is requested. Proceeds benefit the libraries.
