Man Found Dead In CT River Identified As Old Lyme Man

A man's body was found in the Connecticut River in Old Lyme on Monday night in what authorities believe is a suspicious incident.

OLD LYME, CT — A man was found dead in the water in Old Lyme on Monday night, according to NBC CT. The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and State Police Troop F out of Westbrook are investigating.

The man was identified as David Hickie, 56, of Old Lyme, WFSB 3-TV reported. State police said Hickie had been reported missing and a Silver Alert had been issued.

Hickie was found in the Connecticut River/Black Hall River area near East Lyme.

State police said they are investigating the case as a suspicious incident, NBC CT reported.

The Old Lyme Fire Department was notified of the discovery at 7 p.m. Monday.
