East Lyme Police Arrest Three Florida Men on Fraudulent Credit Card Charges

A number of purchases were also located in their hotel rooms.

EAST LYME, CT – Three men from Miami, Fla., were arrested on charges of producing fraudulent credit cards and making thousands of dollars worth of purchases.

Police received an anonymous tip on Friday, Aug. 19, that four men from Miami were staying at Motel 6 in Niantic and producing fraudulent credit cards. Officers surveyed the location for hours and eventually located the suspects, according to a release.

The men arrived in a vehicle that was not registered on any of their names, but to Nelson Antonio Quintana Gomila, 29, of Miami, Fla. The suspects had rented two rooms and all four were located inside the rooms.

Police located 94 credit cards in the names of Yordiel Pena, Daniel Fernandez and Yadier Jorge. They also found approximately $3500 in Target gift cards, approximately $5,000 worth of clothing and shoes, a Playstation 4 and an Apple Watch.

Police arrested the three men, who were held on $100,000 cash bond and appeared in court Monday.
