East Lyme Police Blotter: Arrests June 21-27
Arrest information is provided by Connecticut State Police Troop E. An arrest does not signify a conviction.

Connecticut State Police Troop E is seeking assistance in tracking down drivers in two separate hit and run accidents this week. At around 5 p.m. on June 25, a Buick LeSabre traveling on I-95 South in Stonington was hit by a tractor trailer, which was merging from the right lane to the left lane.
The force of the impact pushed the car into the guard rail on the left shoulder. The driver of the tractor trailer initially pulled over but took off when state police arrived on the scene. The red tractor trailer, company unknown, was driven by a white male of medium build with dark hair. He was wearing a red tee shirt and pants.
On June 27, a Nissan Versa was forced to swerve to avoid a car traveling southbound in the northbound lane of I-395 near exit 77. The Nissan sustained front-end damage and was towed from the scene. The other car did not stop. The accident occurred at 1:44 a.m. The evading vehicle may be a dark colored BMW, possibly with side damage.
