East Lyme to Receive More than $1.1 Million Worth of Upgrades from Eversource
The upgrade is meant to increase customer safety, as well as reliability.

EAST LYME, CT – Eversource announced Wednesday that it will investing more than $1.1 million to upgrade East Lyme’s electrical system, The Day reported.
The upgrade is meant to increase customer safety, as well as reliability, according to The Day. Work is expected to be completed by November.
The company will install utility poles that are thicker and stronger on a number of roads, The Day reported. Equipment will also be installed that can re-route power and limit the amount of people affected by a power outage.
