EAST LYME, CT – Eversource announced Wednesday that it will investing more than $1.1 million <a href="http://www.theday.com/local/20160928/eversource-to-spend-11-million-on-upgrades-in-east-lyme" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">to upgrade East Lyme's electrical system</a>, The Day reported.  The upgrade is meant to <a href="http://www.theday.com/local/20160928/eversource-to-spend-11-million-on-upgrades-in-east-lyme" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">increase customer safety, as well as reliability</a>, according to The Day. Work is expected to be completed by November.  The company will install utility poles that <a href="http://www.theday.com/local/20160928/eversource-to-spend-11-million-on-upgrades-in-east-lyme" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">are thicker and stronger on a number of roads</a>, The Day reported.
