East Lyme School Board Discusses Elementary Schools Repair Costs.

EAST LYME, CT – On Monday, the School Board discussed the costs that would be associated with all thenecessary repairs to the town’s three elementary schools, The Day reported.

Costs are estimated at $32 million to complete the projects, according to The Day. Repairs include upgrading fire alarm systems, replacing ceiling tiles and redesigning parking structures among other things.

The Board agreed that $32 million was a high cost and considered the possibility of monitoring aspects of the schools and forming a committee for the project, The Day reported. They will further discuss the issue at the next meeting and map out a course of action.
