East Lyme Votes on More than $37 Million School Referendum
Voters were asked to decide on whether they supported spending more than $37 million to improve some of the town's schools.

EAST LYME, CT - The majority of East Lyme residents voted in favor of a multimillion dollar referendum involving school improvements, as reported by News 8.
Voters were asked to decide on whether they supported spending more than $37 million to improve the town’s three elementary schools, according to News 8. Improvements include air conditioning, security, handicap accessibility and WiFi.
The vote was originally scheduled for March 14 but was postponed because of a snowstorm, according to News 8. Officials said more than $5 million would most likely be reimbursed from the state.
