Facebook Fans Donate to Mookie the Dog's Surgery

Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control's officer said Mookie is available for adoption.

Over the weekend, my 4-year-old decided this dog’s name should be Mookie, but according to him, everything should be named Mookie, so, Mookie would like to take a moment to thank everyone who donated for her surgery.

We have enough money donated by our wonderful Facebook friends to get her fixed up! Even getting her spayed if she is not already. She has come so far, from the dog I spent three days chasing around and trying to trap to a completely trusting love bug who wants to cuddle.

Mookie is going to the vet this morning and I will post an update soon. Once she recovers, probably Wednesday, she will start accepting visitors and adoption applications.

As a reminder, interested people should stop by the Waterford Animal Shelter, 41 Avery Lane, in person to meet the dog, the ACO and complete an adoption application.
