FRA Endorses Controversial Old Lyme Railroad Proposal

OLD LYME, CT - A controversial railroad proposal has been endorsed by Federal Railroad Administration officials, Fox 61 reported.
The controversial proposal would send trains on a rail that goes through Old Lyme, as well as a number of other areas in Connecticut and Rhode Island, according to Fox 61. It would also include a bypass tunnel.
The FRA says the plan would improve the capacity, speed, and resiliency along the northeast rail corridor, Fox 61 reported, It is estimated to cost $120 billion.
