Frontier Presents Region 18 with $12K Technoloy Grant

Grant will help improve community access productions in school district

Frontier Communications recently presented Region #18 School district with a $12,287 grant as part of its Public Educational and Government Programming (PEG) Grant Program.

The PEG grant program is designed to increase the quality and quantity of community access productions and educational initiatives supported by local TV stations and public schools.

For Region 18, the grant will be used for the purchase of mobile and stationary video equipment to record athletic, musical and other curricular and extra-curricular activities throughout the district.

Region 18’s Director of Facilities and Technology John Rhodes adds, “We are grateful to Frontier Communications for this video equipment grant. This new equipment will enrich our video production and broadcast program."

Frontier presented 15 cable access TV stations and public school systems across Connecticut with PEG grants totaling $225,000.
