Lyme-Old Lyme Ranks High In 2017 National Science Olympiad
The Lyme-Old Lyme Schools recently ranked high at the 2017 National Science Olympiad.

OLD LYME, CT - The Lyme-Old Lyme Schools are pleased to report the success of their Science Olympiad team at the 2017 National Science Olympiad. The competition includes over 60 teams representing the United States as well as a dignitary team representing Japan., according to a release.
The Lyme-Old Lyme team broke the Connecticut state record at the tournament last year as Connecticut’s highest ranking team for a B division (grades 6-9) with a showing of 33rd place overall. At this year’s event, Lyme-Old Lyme placed 28th beating the previous year’s record. (To sign up for the Lymes breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Lyme-Old Lyme debuted in the National Science Olympiad tournament in 2012 placing 51st nationally. Nick Fava’s and Regan Kaye’s “Wright Stuff” placed 8th nationally thanks to their tremendous effort and to the amazing support they received from community member and event coach John Koptonak.
