In her acceptance speech, Logan thanked outgoing President Mark Griswold for his service.
“He created the Osprey Festival out of nothing and has put in countless hours towards the board’s objective of creating a more business-focused organization,” Logan said in a release.
Looking to the future, Logan said she intended to continue the efforts of the previous board in focusing on the business community of Lyme and Old Lyme by "identifying its needs and working in a focused manner" to meet them.
Logan also noted that the initial focus of the Chamber’s efforts would be to expand the membership of the Chamber.
“We already have a Membership Committee actively working on how we can encourage lapsed members to re-join and new members to join," Logan said in a release, "so that we create a vibrant, relevant organization.”
Logan explained this effort to recruit new members would be supported by the Chamber’s planned upcoming publication of a new Member Directory and Tourist Guide, as well as a New Member Evening on August 16 at Studio 80+ Sculpture Grounds in Old Lyme.
