Niantic Among Best Beach Towns in America, List Says

NIANTIC, CT - Niantic was recently listed among the best beach towns in America. Good Housekeeping magazine has noted the town as one of only two locations in Connecticut to make the list.

In a post entitled “The 46 Best Beach Towns in America,” the magazine highlights Niantic for being a town that is slightly less crowded but still just as charming. Good Housekeeping also mentions the towns close location near the tourist magnet Mystic Seaport.

“You won't find big-box stores here,” the article reads, “but you will find a lovely main street that runs parallel to the Long Island Sound for gorgeous views as you grab a leisurely lunch.”

The only other Connecticut town to earn a spot on the list is Old Saybrook.
