Old Lyme Votes to Join Ledge Light Health District, Approves Sound View Project

OLD LYME, CT – Residents decided Tuesday the town will become a member of the Ledge Light Health District, as reported by The Day.

The decision was made at a special town meeting by an extremely close vote of 82-79, according to The Day. The regional health district currently serves East Lyme, as well as Groton, Waterford, New London and Ledyard.

Voters at the meeting also approved $911,100 for construction on the Sound View improvements project by a vote of 102-74, according to The Day. The meeting was held in the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School auditorium.
