Update: 4 Children Suffer Minor Injuries in Old Lyme Bus Crash

None of the injuries were deemed life-threatening.

According to NBC, six children were riding the bus that collided with a Honda Civic around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Route 156 and Mill Creek Road. The driver of the bus, a 49-year-old woman suffered a possible injury.

The 27-year-old male driver of the Honda was not injured.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, the news channel reports. All three students admitted to Shoreline Clinic in Westbrook were released.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Update 5:30 p.m.: Two of the three people who were hospitalized after the school bus crash in Old Lyme have been released, NBC Connecticut reports.

The third person will be discharged shortly.

The three people being released were at the Shoreline Clinic in Westbrook.

According to WFSB, one of the students was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

A school bus got into an accident on Route 156 in Old Lyme Friday afternoon, Old Lyme police officials confirmed to Patch.

According to The Day, four students were transported to the hospital. The students were conscious and alert when they were transported.

Police and emergency personnel are responding, NBC Connecticut reported. A total of 9 ambulances are on the scene.
