Update: 'Trespasser' Killed by Amtrak Train
The incident occurred Monday morning east of Old Saybrook in Old Lyme.

Updated at 9:52 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016: Amtrak is calling Monday morning’s fatal train accident a “trespasser incident,” according to The Day.
The accident involving express Amtrak train 2190 occurred about four miles east of the Old Saybrook train station. An earlier report by WTNH-TV said the accident occurred in Old Lyme.
The trespasser was struck after wandering onto the tracks. No other injuries were reported. The train, which was traveling from New York to Boston, was scheduled to arrive in New London at 8:37 a.m.
